Hey peeps I'm back ! Back from "bercuti". Back with a recipe. Heheh.
Let's call it "sosej dikepit roti" (?). It had became Abahanda's favourite. I used to cook it always before I went to France for 3 years. I cant recall ever preparing it since then, not even during my summer holidays at home.
During my 8 days break before going back to IPBA, I was surprised that dad asked me to cook it again. I'd forgotten about it myself. Huhhurm. Just how dad's addicted to it ! I remember having perturunkan ilmu "sosej dikepit roti" to my sister before going off to France but, I'm pretty sure she never did it...
I'd like to share the recipe with you too. We love to have it for tea or supper. Bila-bila pon boleh... Hey, malaysians just love eat ! XD
This is a preparation for 6 portions, ideal for 2-3 person.
Ingredients
6 pieces of Gardenia/High5 etc.. bread
6 sausages
3 pieces of cheddar cheese
margerine
water
pepper and thyme (if desired)
Preparation
Cut sausages into 2 and boil to tender. (Kalau suka, you can just fry or grill the sausages but I prefer boiling untuk toskan minyak and hilangkan rasa masin. Note that frying and grilling sausages menambahkan rasa masinnya) You can add in some pepper and thyme into the water to flavor.
Cut cheese and bread into 2.
Apply a thin layer of margerine on one side and half of cheese on the other.
Take one boiled sausage, toskan airnya and lay on one piece of bread with cheese (sausage yang masih panas will start melting the cheese). Cover up with a slice of bread applied with margerine. Put aside.
Repeat process to all 6 sets.
Heat a pan. Panaskan sedikit margerine and grill roti to golden brown. Jangan lupa tekan² roti as to compactkan while the cheese is melting.
Et voilà ! Snack is served.
This evening, I served out the roti first while preparing some coffee. When coffee is ready, I came back to the living room and ...,
"Eyh ?? Dah habis dah ?" Terkejut seeing only 2 sets left.
Abahanda tersengih², "Ha'ah, habis dah la".
"Tak cukup ke Bah ?"
"Tak cukup..."
"Heyh. I'll have just one, you finish the other one la".
Abahanda masih sensegan lantas cuba membahagi 2 satu set yang diambilnya." Hmph susah lah !" Lantas Ngapp! Terus disuakan ke mulut. Heh. Abahanda, abahanda...
P/S : Tertonggeng² I snap² photos dekat dapur kecik cinonet dan tak berapa terang tu... Hurmmm. I miss my cosy kitchen in Besançon. Tssk !
